Resident Evil, or Biohazard (バイオハザード, Baiohazādo) in Japan, is a video game series and media franchise consisting of comic books, novelizations, films, and a variety of collectibles, including action figures, strategy guides and publications.Developed by Capcom and created by Shinji Mikami, the series has sold almost 40 million games as of May 2009.
